Ramat Yishai

We are in Ramat Yishai, a small town in the area known as Emeq Yizrael, in the North of the country.

You might wonder what we're doing here?

We think this is one of the most overlooked places by olim looking to move North. When we planned our aliyah, Ramat Yishai wasn't in the NBN community database, and we knew nothing about it. We drove past it a few times, and wondered what the town was like.

So one day, we wandered in.

We found a very pretty town, with lots of green spaces, and many houses with gardens. Many fruit trees in people's gardens. There are a few traffic circles, but the only intersections with traffic lights are the 2 main entrances to town from the highway. Lots of charming alleyways and interesting architecture.

We were intrigued.

We wandered through a few more times, and we were sold. Clean air, quiet town, green spaces... suburbia. It is close enough to major employment centers in Haifa, Yokneam, Afula, and more. It is close to Kvish 6, and many people commute to the center of the country, because it is easy to now. A new mall is going up in the large commercial part of town, but already there is more than enough shopping for our needs.

We have a library, a matnas with many, many programs for children and adults, a public pool (summer months only), and about 7 different synagogues, and we are building a new, Ashkenazi, Dati-Leumi one.

We especially love the peace and quiet, no traffic jams, friendly people...
